The first Larratt-Mannix trophy was played Tuesday 19th of December with the Old Whitefriars Cricketers taking on the might of the Doncaster Cricket Club. The teams where set and the Donny boys where keen to go. The OWC was running late so they where sent in. DCC captain, Craig Mannix, got to the game just on time and thrown into the deep end to captain the team.

DCC got off to a good start with Zed Memmon getting the first wicket with his first ball of the second over bowling pace. Another wicket fell and OWC was in trouble. Brownie's second over got a run out and the away team were struggling to get their pad on quick enough.

OWC fort back with a good partnership between M. Gleeson and D. Larratt. M. Gleeson retired on 30 and Dave was out for 28 after getting hit in the knackers. Andrew Baker came in and scored 2 fours off his 2 first balls, when Elias had him out caught for 16. Mannix took the key wicket of A. Larratt, out of 14. Next over Rosco drop a sidder off Crackers and was offered a bag to catch the next one with.

At the end of the OWC innings they where 7 for 141. Doncaster needed 142 of 20 overs at a run rate of 7.1 an over. Z. Memmon got 2 for 10 and E. Karagorgio got 2 for 12.

Doncaster got off to a cracking start with Elias Kara hitting a massive 6. Brownie and Elias dominated the early overs. Elias retired at 34 runs. A few quick wickets and the run rate slowed. Jack Blyth and Christian Westgarth got together and steady it for Donny when Jacko back up to far and was run out at the non strikers end for 23. Westy got to 33 and retired. A flurry of wickets fell but that was not enough with Dean Vance coming in at the end smashing a 6 and a 4 with Mannix and won the game with 7 balls to spare with 2 wickets in hand. M. Gleeson got 2 for 25, A. Larratt got 2 for 15 and A. Baker 2 for 6.
