In the ideal surroundings of the MCC Committee Room that looks out across the MCG, the 2007/08 MVP vote count turned out to be a thriller at half way point with Marty & Adrian going head-to-head on 8 & 7 points respectively. In the end however, Marty won convincingly from a gallant Adrian (who wishes he hadn't missed the last match). Although last season's runner-up, Mike, polled in every match he played, it was his mid-season injury left him short. Some mixed performances from last year's winner, Andrew, meant he wasn't in the hunt for  back-to-back titles.

The Batting Award went to Adrian and the bowling award to Andrew. All up there were 23 players that participated in the Old Whitefriars Cricketers 2007/08 teams.
